The Common Man

I am tired but I’m not sleepy

What I am tired of can be changed

I am tired of the violence that plagues that streets

I am tired of the lies that this country feeds me

I am tired of the NRA

I am tired of the bullshit

You see the people that effect my life

don’t live my life

The people that make laws don’t live in the ghetto

They eat three times a day

I have to fight to eat

I have to fight to live

I have to fight to survive

You see if I sleep I am dead

Why would they care about gun laws?

We are dying not them!

Why would they care about the homeless situation?

They have four to five cars in the driveway.

I am tired of people dying, these people don’t always make the news

But we move on.., but when it happens to you then and only then do you want justice

Allah bless us all

The common man, the evil man, good man, the happy man, the sad man

The black man, the white man

What we all have in common is man.

The sun usually wakes me up in the morning

Today the sun did not shine

There were no blue skies

The waves did not crash the shore

Everything stood still

The birds did not sing

The flowers did not bloom

No mountains moved

No rains dropped

My heart stopped beating

That’s how I feel one second without you.

With you the angels wake me up and say” Good Morning”

I am blessed with life, full of energy

Nothing can stop me

No man can hurt me

The drums of life beat in my heart

I can walk on water

I know what love is

I feel it in my soul

All because of you
